Meet the Chefs Behind the Experience

We’re Lisa and Patrick Balcom—chefs, partners, and co-founders of Farow at Home.

Together, we each bring over 25 years of fine dining experience to your private table, including our time at Farow, our acclaimed farm-to-table restaurant known for scratch cooking and sustainability.

Patrick brings soulful technique, deep savory flavor, and butchery expertise to each dish.

Lisa brings balance, artistry, and warmth through pastry, fine dining service & hospitality.

We believe a meal should be felt as much as it is tasted. Our goal is to help you and your guests connect—through food, story, and season.

Our Philosophy
A woman and a man standing and smiling by a farm fence, with cows and a pond in the background, under a cloudy sky.
Fresh vegetables and flowers at a market stall. Visible items include radishes, kale, arugula, spinach, and a bouquet of mixed flowers.

We’re not your average personal chefs.

Our menus are built around what’s fresh, local, and in season, and we work exclusively with small farms and producers who prioritize soil health, biodiversity, and ethical growing practices. You won’t find out-of-season tomatoes or imported asparagus here—just vibrant, peak-season ingredients grown right here in our region.

Because our menus change with the harvest, we do not offer pre-set menus more than a month in advance. This approach supports a more sustainable food system, reduces waste, and results in meals that are not only more flavorful—but more meaningful. We also only offer services to small intimate groups. We do not work with more than 15-20 people per event.

If you're looking for a unique, values-driven dining experience that celebrates place, season, and purpose—you’re in the right place.

We Also Teach & Share Recipes so You Can Cook Seasonally at Home Too

Farow at Home began as a way to reconnect people with real food — seasonal ingredients, thoughtful cooking, and the stories behind what we eat.

We continue to share recipes, wine education, and our weekly live cooking show for anyone who wants to cook with more intention at home.

Season First. Values Always.

We don’t use out-of-season tomatoes or generic imported produce.

We source directly from the small farms and producers we know and love, creating menus that reflect the rhythm of nature and the best of what’s growing right now.

Our commitment to sustainability means:

  • Supporting farms that prioritize soil health and biodiversity

  • Reducing waste through intentional menu planning

  • Making everything from scratch—from sauces to stocks to sweets

  • Cooking meals that nourish both people and the planet

We don’t just feed your guests.
We feed a better food system.

This is not catering.
This is connection.

Imagine your home transformed into a farm to table restaurant for the evening.

The table is set. The wine is poured. The kitchen is full of the aroma of just-harvested herbs, handmade sauces, and stories waiting to be told.

This is what we do—seasonal, chef-curated experiences using ingredients sourced directly from our local farms. No imports. No shortcuts. Just real food, grown with care, cooked with soul, and served with purpose.

Everything we serve is prepared fresh in your home kitchen.
We don’t offer drop-off, reheated meals, or weekly meal prep — our focus is on full service, chef-guided dining that feels personal and unforgettable.
